Popular singer arrested for stabbing sleeping girlfriend

According to information from June 1, Maya Yanoa popular Japanese singer of the group TUYUwas arrested for stabbing his girlfriend.

The 30-year-old singer is accused of attempting to murder his girlfriend while she was sleeping. He stabbed her in the left side of her chest, then called the police to report the incident. He also called the ambulance.

After arriving at the scene, police discovered the knife used as the murder weapon right next to Yano's bed. His girlfriend was taken to hospital after losing a significant amount of blood. The singer was immediately arrested.

Yano admitted his crime at the police station, confessing that he had initially planned to commit suicide after murdering his girlfriend. Asked about the motivations for this crime, the singer replied that it was an impulsive decision.

The singer's girlfriend, a minor, is still hospitalized, according to a NHK report. The police are waiting for her to regain consciousness after the operation to further investigate.

Meanwhile, Yano started his career in 2012 as an anime singer and music producer. He later created the group TUYU and established his own entertainment agency in 2023. Apart from his music career, Yano is also a popular YouTuber and is better known by his stage name, Pusu.
