Pop Smoke's Alleged Murderer Cuts Electronic Bracelet From His Ankle: Watch

The Pop Smoke murder trial has taken some interesting turns lately involving former co-defendants, but they are at very different extremes of the discussion. On one hand, the only adult defendant in the case, Corey Walker, failed to get a plea bargain in his case, so he will have to wait longer to stand trial. But for the other co-defendant of note these days, Blockstar, his notoriety comes more from his extreme attempts to gain his freedom. Additionally, a video recently surfaced showing him apparently cutting off his own electronic bracelet, publicizing his escape attempts for one reason or another.

Additionally, the court had already released Blockstar earlier this month in the Pop Smoke murder case, presumably because he had served his four-year prison sentence after pleading guilty. The circumstances and vagueness of this release have caused a lot of debate among fans. Of course, many negative messages and threats followed, and another video was released showing Blockstar's probation officer calling him and asking for a relocation due to concerns about his safety. Clearly, there has been a lot of anger and confusion over this and we hope it doesn't escalate.

However, things took another curious turn when Pop Smoke's alleged murderer, who was released, demanded that No rider give him a bag. More specifically, it seems like he wants the publication to pay him for covering his release from prison and, by extension, for allegedly exploiting his name and story for their own gain. We're sure Blockstar is extending this anger to other outlets and media pages reporting on his release, but he's still singled out a particular target. Maybe something will come of this in the future, but again, I hope things stay more measured.

Pop Smoke's alleged killer could be relocated

Meanwhile, this news comes a few months after people heard a new alleged account of Pop Smoke's tragic loss. It came from a supposed friend or colleague who was apparently at his home when the invaders took his life. It's a somewhat heartbreaking account, but it also underscores the mundane nature of the situation before a grim end. Hopefully, we'll celebrate the late New York MC's legacy this year for many other reasons that have nothing to do with this crime.
