Ponsford man sentenced for distribution of private sexual images – Detroit Lakes Tribune

DETROIT LAKES — Matthew Brett Hukriede, 37, of rural Ponsford, was sentenced in Becker County District Court for gross misdemeanor non-consensual distribution of private sexual images.

One felony count and a second serious misdemeanor count on the same charge were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

According to court records, on May 19, 2023, he sent a text message to a woman threatening to send nude photos of her to friends and post them on Facebook. He texted the woman to tell her that he had posted the nude photos on Facebook and that they remained up for about 11 minutes until Facebook removed them. Hukriede also told her that he was sending the photos to several other people.

A second woman said Hukriede sent a photo of her breasts, along with nude photos of the first woman, to her 4-year-old daughter's iPad account.

Hukriede told an officer he sent the photos because he was angry with the two women. He said he sent the photo to the second woman's iPad account, without realizing it was his young daughter's account. He said he threatened to post the photos on Facebook, but did not post them there.

On April 10, District Judge Michelle Lawson issued a stay of imposition as successful completion of probation resulted in a misdemeanor conviction.

Hukriede was sentenced to seven days in jail, with credit for two days served. The remaining five days were allowed to be served on electronic home monitoring at his expense. He was fined $1,000, plus $75 in court costs.

He was ordered to undergo a full evaluation and diagnostic evaluation and follow all recommendations, including aftercare, and was placed on unsupervised probation for two years.

Breckenridge man convicted of meth

Nathan Mark Hanson, 37, of Breckenridge, was sentenced in Becker County District Court on fifth-degree felony drug charges and misdemeanor violation of a restraining order.

According to court records, late in the evening of August 25, 2023, an officer went to a rural Detroit Lakes residence and spoke to a protected person who said Hanson had violated a no-contact order. domestic violence by showing up at a residence. where the protected person was and entering when the door was opened.

Hanson admitted to officers that he entered the residence and saw the protected portion. He was arrested and searched. A bag of methamphetamine weighing 1.53 grams was found on him.

On April 8, Becker County District Court Judge Gretchen Thilmony issued a stay of proceedings on both counts: successful completion of probation will result in dismissal.

For the felony, Hanson was sentenced to three days in jail, with credit for three days served. He was fined $500, plus $75 in court costs.

For a minor offense, he was sentenced to three days in jail and fined $100.

He was ordered to complete a full evaluation and follow all recommendations, including follow-up, and was placed on supervised probation for five years.
