Policeman dies after being injured while cleaning gun in Zewan, Srinagar

(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- A policeman died after he was injured while cleaning his gun in Zewan area on the outskirts of Srinagar on Saturday.

Quoting a senior police officer, the Kashmir Scroll news agency reported that a head constable, Bashir Ahmad, of Central Armor Workshop, currently posted in Zewan, was shot and injured while was cleaning a weapon in Zewan.

He said the injured man was shifted to 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.

In the meantime, the police became aware of it and opened an investigation.
