Police seize heroin worth over Rs 1.15 crore in major drug seizures

GUWAHATI: In a significant victory against drug trafficking, police in Bokajan district of Assam achieved a major breakthrough with the seizure of heroin valued at over Rs 1.15 crore. This success is the result of meticulous planning and coordination.

Sunday night, Barpathar Police led a well-executed raid at Khakrajan Naka. This led to the confiscation of a large quantity of heroin. The illicit drugs were cleverly hidden in 45 plastic soap boxes. The total weight was 554.66 grams. These drugs were discovered hidden in the vehicle. The vehicle was registered AS-31-F-2466. He was traveling from Dimapur to Guwahati. The vehicle was equipped with a secret compartment. It was designed to secretly transport narcotics.

Further intensifying their crackdown on drug trafficking, law enforcement made additional arrests in Merapani, Golaghat. This was a collaborative effort.
