Police seek person of interest in Chillicothe overnight stabbing

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Guardian has learned new details about the overnight stabbing of a Chillicothe man.

Sources close to the situation told the Guardian that the incident took place in the South Mulberry Street area of ​​the city.

The exact circumstances of the stabbing remain unclear. Police are looking for someone who may be involved in the incident. They want to question local resident Dustin Welch about the stabbing.

The victim was initially transported around midnight to Adena Regional Medical Center. He was then taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where he remains in serious condition.
