Police searching for person in suspected sexual assault case | News

The Kokomo Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating and identifying an individual they believe may have been linked to a sexual assault that occurred last month in the Target parking lot.

Police were alerted to the alleged incident on May 21. The complainant allegedly told investigators that the incident occurred between 10 p.m. and midnight the day before, according to a KPD press release.

The store was closed at the time, according to the release.

During the subsequent investigation into the incident, an individual who police believe matched the description of the suspect given by the alleged victim was located on surveillance video, the release states.

Police now wish to speak with this individual.

In addition to the surveillance footage, investigators also learned that the individual was driving a dark-colored Buick of unknown model.
