Police searching for man allegedly involved in road rage incident with 2 pregnant women | Star of Winchester

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in identifying a man allegedly involved in a road rage incident on North Frederick Pike in which two pregnant women were allegedly bitten and assaulted, according to a post from the agency on social networks.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Warren Gosnell said the incident occurred May 22 when two vehicles in the 2000 block of North Frederick Pike left the road.

According to the post, a man in a red Chevrolet Cruze registered in Pennsylvania “presumably” ran a stop sign, Gosnell said. “He ran a stop sign and then he stopped and the two women (who were riding together in a different vehicle) stopped and they all got out of their vehicle,” Gosnell said.

The two women, who told law enforcement they were pregnant, “were both physically fighting with the man,” Gosnell said.

No serious injuries were reported.

“At one point during the fight,” a woman’s fingers “were in the man’s mouth and he bit,” according to Gosnell.

“During physical exercise, his hand ends up in his mouth, one way or another,” he said.

No one has been charged over the incident, Gosnell said. The man believed to be involved has not been identified.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 540-662-6162 or Winchester Frederick Clarke Crime Solvers at 540-665-TIPS or use their P3 app or www.p3tips.com.
