Police search for potentially armed teens in Franklin County, New York following stolen vehicle, gun chase

New York State Police are searching for the suspects who led police on a chase from Tioga County in a stolen vehicle. It started Friday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. in the town of Berkshire, New York. State police pursued a stolen vehicle with stolen long guns north of the town of Burke in Franklin County, New York. The chase ended when the vehicle left the road and became stuck in a field near the intersection of 70th Road and Spencer Road. State police tell NBC5 a suspect is in custody. Police are looking for two teenage suspects. A 17-year-old white man and a 16-year-old black man. Authorities warn they may be armed with long guns. If you see them, you should not approach them. Instead, call the New York State Police at (518) 563-3761. New York State Police, U.S. Border Patrol, New York State Rangers and Tri-County SRT set up a perimeter around Coveytown Road in Burke.
