Police search for man who sexually assaulted teenage girl on MD bus

SILVER SPRING, Md. — Police in Montgomery County are searching for a man wanted for sexually assaulting a teenage girl aboard a Ride On bus in Silver Spring. Detectives fear there are more victims who have not contacted police.

On Wednesday, May 22, shortly before 8 p.m., officers responded to investigate a sexual assault that occurred inside the bus on Veirs Mill Road at the Wheaton Metro bus intersection.

A teenager told police a man exposed himself and touched them. At the time, he was wearing a red Washington Nationals cap, gray shorts and a Winnie the Pooh t-shirt.

Investigators say the man was last seen getting off the bus at Connecticut Avenue and University Boulevard West in Kensington.

Police released photos of the man in hopes of getting the public's help in identifying and locating him.
