Police search cemetery with cadaver dogs

The search for a missing 8-month-old in Kentucky continued Tuesday, with Kentucky State Police employing K9 cadaver dogs to assist. On June 6, KSP sent out a notice that Miya Tucker Rudd was missing. Police say they believe her parents, Cage Rudd and Tesla Tucker were the last to care for her before she disappeared. KSP then conducted a welfare check at the parents' home, but was unable to find the baby. On Tuesday, KSP said they searched for Miya at a cemetery in Reynolds Station, Kentucky. KSP Trooper Corey King said at this point that due to lack of evidence, they had no reason to believe she was dead. However, K9 cadaver dogs helped them in the search. King said they were unable to find any substantial leads and planned to bring in more search dogs and equipment to continue the investigation this week. Since Miya was reported missing, Cage and Tesla have been arrested, along with Miya's grandfather and grandmother, Ricky and Billie Smith. Cage and Tesla face drug charges and abandonment of a minor, while the grandparents face drug trafficking and child abuse charges. Another man, Timothy Roach, was also arrested after police said he was seen throwing Suboxone under his car in Billie Smith's driveway. . He faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a prescription substance not in a proper container. Police have not said what Roach's connection is to the family at this time. Kentucky State Police are asking anyone with information regarding the missing child to contact 270-826. -3312.
