Police say teenager Reuben missing from home found 'safe'

Police have confirmed that a teenager who went missing from home earlier today (Sunday June 23) has now been found.

Reuben Gadah is believed to have disappeared from his home in the West Boldon area of ​​South Tyneside on Monday (June 17).

It was reported that he was then seen at Fellgate Tube station in Jarrow on Thursday June 20.

As the days passed and the 14-year-old still had not returned home, police and Reuben's family became increasingly concerned for his well-being.

He is said to have links throughout the Northumbria force area, but particularly with Newcastle.

Investigations are ongoing and a public appeal was made earlier today (Sunday June 23) for information on the teenager's whereabouts.

But in a brief statement released mid-morning, Northumbria Police confirmed they were “pleased to announce that the missing boy, Reuben, has now been found, safe and sound”.
