Police release CCTV of double stabbing in east London that left victims in hospital

Police are appealing for help to identify two men after a double stabbing in east London left two victims in hospital.

Scotland Yard have released shocking footage of the attack in Forest Gate, Newham, as well as CCTV footage of two men they are trying to trace.

The attack took place on March 20, but two and a half months later, no arrests have been made and police say they have “exhausted all avenues of investigation”.

Police were called to the scene in Woodgrange Road shortly after 11.30pm and found two male victims who had been stabbed multiple times.

“CCTV showed two young men approaching the victims before stabbing them,” a Met Police spokesperson said on Wednesday.

“The suspects then fled towards Forest Gate station.”

The victims were taken to hospital, where their injuries were not life-threatening.

Detective Constable Ben Dailey of the North East Area Sapphire Team said: “We have exhausted all lines of inquiry and are now asking for the public's help. It is important that these men are identified as quickly as possible.

“Although we know the images are not of the best quality, we think there is a chance someone might recognize them.

“Did you witness this stabbing? Were you in the area on Wednesday March 20? If so, please report to the police by calling 101 quoting 8276/20MAR24 to help us identify the two suspects.”
