Police presence outside AT&T near Hyvee Crossroads in connection with possible stabbing – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – Multiple first responder agencies were on scene at the AT&T off 12th Street SE Tuesday. evening for a possible stabbing and one person was seen being taken into custody.

Rochester Police Department officers at the scene told ABC 6 News that an AT&T employee was injured after a confrontation behind the store.

Officers say two suspects entered through the rear of the store and allegedly took a bag of merchandise. That's when the victim allegedly followed them out of the store to stop them, but was stabbed in the lower body.

RPD also told ABC 6 News the suspects attempted to flee on foot, but were arrested behind nearby businesses.

The names of the suspects have not been released.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to fully recover from his injuries, according to the RPD.

The Rochester Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance were also seen at the scene.
