Police name man they want traced after Westminster stabbing

Police have named a man they want to speak to in connection with a stabbing in Westminster on Saturday which left a man fighting for his life.

Officers want to trace Steven Woods, 25, who lives in Westminster and is also known to frequent Camden.

The Metropolitan Police said people should not approach him, but call 999 and quote the reference number 'CAD 6533/11Jun'.

The call comes after police were called to Junction Mews, W2, shortly after 6.30pm on June 11, following reports of a group of people fighting with knives.

The police went to the scene and found a 28-year-old man suffering from a stab wound.

He was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service paramedics before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Two men, aged 26 and 18, were arrested and charged with attempted murder.

A third man arrested for attempted murder, aged 21, is now in police custody after his release from hospital.
