Police: Man sent to hospital after robbery and stabbing incident

On May 31 at 11:02 a.m., a man was walking in the 100 block of South Old Glebe Road when another man approached, stole his jewelry and an undisclosed amount of cash and stabbed the victim with a knife before fleeing on foot. » said Arlington police.

The victim was transported to an area hospital. His injuries are described as serious, but his life is not in danger.

Responding officers established a perimeter and the area was searched with the assistance of a police helicopter, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, approximately 5'10″ tall, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
