Police investigation after double stabbing in the street

Two people have been stabbed during a fight in Nottingham city centre.

Nottinghamshire Police said they were called to Wilford Street shortly before 04:00 BST on Sunday.

Law enforcement said several people were involved in a fight and the two people who were stabbed were taken to the hospital.

Five men, aged between 24 and 40, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

Detective Inspector Lisa Jones said: “Officers are carrying out a thorough and thorough investigation to determine what happened. »

The force said a cordon would remain in place while officers investigated the incident.
