Police investigating stabbing in Portland Avenue area

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Friday. Police responded to the Portland Avenue/Barberry Terrace area after receiving a report of a possible stabbing and found a 33-year-old Rochester man with an apparent lower body injury. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with injuries that police say are not life-threatening.

Police say the circumstances surrounding the stabbing are still unknown and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers.
