Police investigating after Goldsboro man stabbed

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – Goldsboro police are investigating after a stabbing sent one person to the hospital.

On May 24, at approximately 11:58 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the 600 block of Stronach Avenue to receive a report of a man being stabbed. When they arrived, police said they found Antonio Devonne Wooten, 46, suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.

Wooten was taken to UNC Health Wayne, but was transferred to ECU Health. He is currently in stable condition.
