Police investigate stabbing case in Dunkirk

DUNKIRK, NY — Dunkirk police are continuing their investigation into a stabbing last week.

Police say they were called to a residence on Lake Shore Drive West on May 30 for reports of a disturbance.

Officers said once they entered the apartment, they found a man with a knife standing over a woman with multiple stab wounds.

The police were able to arrest the man without incident. He is identified as Twain Buchanan-Scott.

Police also found a second victim with a stab wound in the apartment. Both victims were treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital with their injuries not life-threatening.

Buchanana-Scott, 34, is charged with burglary, assault and criminal mischief. He was arraigned and is currently being held on $100,000 cash or $200,000 surety.
