Police investigate double shooting on Phoenix's east side

PHOENIX (AZFamille) — A man is in the hospital fighting for his life while another man is seriously injured after a fight ended in a shooting in an east Phoenix neighborhood Monday.

Officers were called to the area of ​​36th and Yale streets, south of Thomas Road, just before 1 p.m.

Police said two men in two separate cars got into an altercation and shot each other.

One of the men was seriously injured while the other suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Both are currently being treated at a nearby hospital for their injuries.

Detectives are now working to learn more about what led to the shooting. No further information has been released.
