Police investigate crash in Gosnells involving teenager riding on top of moving car

Police are currently investigating a crash in Gosnells after a teenage girl climbed onto a moving vehicle.

The incident, which occurred on Saturday, June 22, is currently being investigated by officers from the Major Accident Investigation Section.

“Shortly before 3pm, a blue Ford Fiesta hatchback was driving slowly into the car park behind a fast food restaurant on Albany Highway,” a police spokesman said.

“A 16-year-old girl climbed onto the hood of the vehicle and, while it was moving, fell off the hood.

“She suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

“Major Crash officers are investigating the crash and are urging anyone with information relating to the crash, or who may have seen the incident, to contact Crime Stoppers.”
