Police investigate after teen stabbing – The Royal Gazette

Police have launched an investigation into the potentially fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man.

A police spokesperson said officers and other first responders were called to a residence in Hamilton Parish around 5:35 p.m. yesterday after reports that a young man had been injured in an altercation with another man.

Upon arrival, paramedics immediately began treating the man, who was unresponsive and appeared to have suffered a stab wound.

He was then taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he continues to receive treatment for injuries considered life-threatening.

A 17-year-old male suspect is in custody.

Eyewitnesses and anyone with information are asked to call Detective Constable Patrick Jones of the Criminal Investigation Unit at 717-2170 or email [email protected].

They can also call independent and confidential Crime Stoppers at 800-8477.

Information can also be provided through the Bermuda Police Service's community reporting portal or by speaking with a police officer they know.
