Police identify three victims in fatal car crash in Central

CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) — The Central Police Department has identified the three victims killed in a car crash in Central on Tuesday, June 4.

Police responded to the 17000 block of Magnolia Bridge Road, between Old Wax Road and Greenwell Springs Road, for a crash reported Tuesday afternoon.

Police said two people were trapped in an overturned vehicle after a head-on collision.

Police say a silver Mercedes SUV was in the eastbound lane when it crossed the center line and collided with a Ford F-150 work van hauling approximately 3,000 pounds of dirt on a trailer. Why the Mercedes crossed the center line is still under investigation.

Police Chief Roger Corcoran identified the driver of the Mercedes as Johnnie Parker, 33, of Walker. Tiffany Miller, 39, of Walker, and Amanda Graham, 32, of Denham Springs were the passengers.

Police said toxicology samples had been taken and were awaiting analysis.
