Police identify 82-year-old victim fatally struck by motorcycle in Sunset Park

New York police have identified the victim who died in a car crash in Sunset Park last Thursday.

Efrain Barreto, 82, was struck by Abed Abed, 32, who was riding a moped around 60th Street and 5th Avenue. Barreto was pronounced dead and his funeral was held Tuesday morning.

Abed now faces a multitude of motor vehicle-related charges, including but not limited to operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
