Police: Fond du Lac man arrested after stabbing involving scissors, alcohol believed to be involved

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Fond du Lac have arrested a man following a stabbing incident that sent someone to the hospital.

According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, on June 17 at approximately 10:20 p.m., officers responded to a reported disturbance inside a residence in the 100 block of East 1st Street. It was mentioned that a man may have been stabbed.

The officers set up a perimeter and attempted to get people out of the house. Several individuals reportedly left the residence, but not a victim and a suspect. It was confirmed that someone was stabbed inside the residence.

The release states officers found a 41-year-old Fond du Lac man suffering from a stab wound. A 45-year-old Fond du Lac man was taken into custody.

The man with the knife wound was sent to hospital with a non-life-threatening back injury.

Authorities say scissors were involved in the stabbing and were found and recovered by officers. Alcohol consumption appears to play a role in this incident, according to police.
