WEST JORDAN, Utah — Police have found a missing and endangered man who died after the West Jordan Police Department issued a Silver Alert and began searching.

According to WJPD Detective Rhonda Fields, Douglas Steadman, 58, was last seen on Friday, May 31 around 2:30 p.m. Police said he may have been wearing a black hat, jeans, white tennis shoes and a white shirt. He was probably driving a white 1991 Ford Ranger with a white shell on it.

Steadman suffered from early-onset dementia, COPD and suffered from lack of sleep, police said. He left without the medication he needed.
