Police charge two men in fatal stabbing investigation in District Heights

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Maryland (DC News Now) — Prince George's County police arrested two Suitland men in connection with a fatal stabbing in District Heights on June 18.

The Prince George Police Department (PGPD) said Franklin Mackall Jr., 54, and Carlson Mackall, 52, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and related charges.

Tuesday, around 6:20 p.m., officers were called to the 6100 block of Old Silver Hill Road. for a “cut”. Once on scene, officers found Terence Savoy, 45, of District Heights, lying on the ground with “body trauma.”

He was taken to hospital where he died.

Throughout the investigation, detectives revealed that Mackall Jr. and Mackall allegedly attacked Savoy during an argument. The PGPD believes Savoy and the two suspects knew each other.

Mackall and Mackall Jr. are in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
