Police arrest suspected bank robber who transported young child in Texas

A man responsible for an alleged Texas bank robbery accompanied by a young child has been arrested by the FBI.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department and the Dallas Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Ronnie Newman, 44, was arrested Monday in Mineral Wells, Texas by law enforcement.

The conclusion of the investigation came after Newman arrived at the First Convenience Bank branch of the Fort Worth Walmart store on June 6 with a young child.

The FBI said the young child was in the seat of a shopping cart when Newman handed cashiers a note demanding money.

After the cashier handed him the money, the suspect pushed the child in the cart to the exit.
