Police are searching for an 18-year-old who stabbed a teenage girl and a woman at Kan's home.

JOHNSON COUNTY — Law enforcement is investigating a stabbing that sent a teenager to the hospital and is looking for a suspect.

Shortly after noon Saturday, police responded to an armed physical disturbance in the 5200 block of Barton Drive in the Town of Shawnee, according to a news release.

Officers discovered a suspect had stabbed a 17-year-old boy and an adult woman. The teen was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The adult woman suffered minor injuries.

Police are actively searching for an 18-year-old man who detectives have identified. The Shawnee Fire Department and Johnson County MED-ACT also responded to the incident.
