PNP conducts simultaneous visits to Quiboloy properties

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday, June 10, 2024, visited five properties in Davao province belonging to Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, head of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), who is the subject of a standing arrest warrant for human trafficking and child sexual abuse.

About 100 police officers visited five of Quiboloy's properties in Davao from dawn on Monday, hoping to find him and five of his co-accused: Jackielyn W. Roy, Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid Canada and Sylvia Cemanes.

An arrest warrant was issued against them by the Davao City Regional Trial Court on April 1 for alleged violation of Section 10(a) or other acts of child abuse under the law of the Republic (RA) No. 7610 or on the special protection of children against abuse. , Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

Bail was set at P180,000 for sexual assault and P80,000 for mistreatment.

On April 11, a Pasig City Court also issued an arrest warrant for Quiboloy and five others for alleged violation of RA 9208 or the Anti-Human Trafficking Act of 2003. No bail was granted. recommended.

Quiboloy's supporters gathered in front of the KOJC compound in Barangay Buhangin, Davao City, creating a human barricade in an effort to prevent police from entering the compound.

They insisted Quiboloy was innocent of all charges against him.

In a press conference, PNP Public Information Office Chief Col. Jean Fajardo called on Quiboloy supporters to calm down and not intervene in the ongoing operation.
