Plymouth and Braintree stabbing updates: Jared Ravizza arrested and charged

Ravizza also faces four counts of assault with intent to murder in connection with the stabbings of four girls in Braintree on Saturday, as well as four other counts of assault and battery with a weapon dangerous, according to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office Tuesday.

Ravizza is mentioned in the use of male pronouns on a professional website and in court documents. Ravizza uses “she” on Instagram. The Boston Globe was unable to reach anyone close to Ravizza who could clarify Ravizza's gender identity.

According to police reports filed in Plymouth court, Ravizza entered the McDonald's restaurant drive-thru in his black Porsche around 7 p.m. Saturday and briefly got out to urinate.

Ravizza then got back in the car and drove to the driveway, where Ravizza argued over a food order with a 28-year-old employee working in the driveway window, according to the report. During the argument, Ravizza asked the employee to verify that the order was correct. Ravizza tried to grab the bag and stabbed the worker when he tried to remove it, the employee told police, according to the report.

The worker was stabbed in the forearm with a knife that was about 8 inches long and appeared old, according to the report.

The worker later told police that Ravizza “looked like a man and a woman at the same time, had long blonde hair, pink nails and had the appearance of someone much older,” according to the report. Ravizza also “looked stressed,” the worker said.

The worker fell and ran to the manager's office, where he put a bandage on his arm, according to the report. The worker later told police he heard someone shout, “Stop!” and “Don’t do that!”

A woman working in the restaurant heard the drive-thru commotion through the window and her co-worker told her that Ravizza had a problem with the order. She then saw Ravizza lunge at her co-worker and saw the employee bleeding after the attack, she told police.

Ravizza left, then came back and parked in the rest area, she said. When he entered the restaurant, Ravizza had long blonde hair, was wearing a jacket with no shirt and had a large knife in his hand, according to the report.

The worker “yelled at Jared Ravizza to stop and yelled for help,” the report states. Ravizza then stabbed another woman working at the McDonald's — a 21-year-old who had just started working at the restaurant on Saturday and had only been in the United States for a few days, according to the report.

The employee who saw the attacks on her co-workers chased Ravizza to the car, where Ravizza turned around, smiled and gave her an “ok” hand gesture, according to the report.

The woman suffered a knife wound approximately 2 inches deep, as well as an injury to the inside of her left bicep and left armpit, according to prosecutors. Both were transported to local hospitals, where they remained in stable condition Tuesday.

After the attacks, Ravizza got back into the car and fled the scene. A witness reported the car's license plates to state police and officers attempted to stop the car, but Ravizza would not stop, authorities said.

Ravizza crashed the vehicle in Sandwich and was stopped by troopers and local police around 7:15 p.m., officials said. Ravizza was transported to South Shore Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and remained in the hospital Sunday.

“We are shocked and devastated by this senseless act of violence,” McBee said. “The safety of our crew and customers is always our top priority. »

About an hour before the McDonald's attack, four girls ages 9 to 17 were stabbed at the AMC Braintree 10 movie theater. State police and Braintree police each said the crimes in Braintree and Plymouth appeared linked.

Dembowski's 9-year-old twins were injured, along with his 17-year-old son and their friend, who were watching the John Krasinski film “If.”

“I think they're terrified of going to the movies on a Saturday night, and that this could happen — someone could just walk into a movie theater and do that,” Dembowski said.
