Plane crashes in Arvada, sparks structure fire

Initial reports from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office indicated the plane crashed in a neighborhood southeast of Standley Lake around 9:30 a.m. Friday. Minutes later, the Arvada Police Department narrowed the landing site to a neighborhood in the area of Oberon Road and Carr Street in a statement on social media. A subsequent X.com post from the department reported that two adults and two children were taken to the hospital with injuries. Arvada fire crews are responding to a structure fire associated with the crash and multiple reported injuries, fire department spokeswoman Deanna Harrington said.
