Pittsburg BB gun vandalism suspect arrested

(KRON) — A suspect who police say targeted several businesses during a months-long vandalism campaign involving a pellet gun has been arrested, Pittsburg police announced Thursday. The arrest was linked to a series of incidents involving businesses on Garcia Avenue.

Vandals used pellet guns to shoot out windows of businesses. This resulted in “significant financial losses” amounting to several thousand dollars, police said.

In response to the attacks, police said the owner installed surveillance cameras. These cameras managed to capture the culprit in action.

The footage provided a lead to Pittsburg Police Detective Lefterov. Over several weeks, Lefterov gathered substantial evidence and identified the suspect in the vandalism incidents, police said.
