Pimpama crash: Teenager fighting for life, woman suffering spinal injuries after Gold Coast collision

A teenager is fighting for his life while a woman suffered suspected spinal injuries following a crash on the Gold Coast.

A Holden Commodore carrying five people mounted a roundabout and crashed into a retaining wall on William Boulevard in Pimpama just before 1am on Sunday.

A 19-year-old Queensland man suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital.

A 20-year-old woman from Western Australia was taken to the same hospital with suspected spinal injuries.

The 18-year-old driver was taken to hospital for assessment and is assisting police with their investigation.

Paramedics examined an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man at the scene.
