Picayune, Mississippi man sentenced to nearly 15 years in prison for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine

Gulfport, Miss. – A Picayune man was sentenced to 179 months in federal prison for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 124.7 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Jeremy Cyntel Turner, 32, was sentenced May 24, 2024, in U.S. District Court in Gulfport.

According to court records, in 2015, an investigation was initiated into a large-scale drug trafficking organization located largely in Picayune, MS (Pearl River County). In 2018, Turner was identified as someone part of the conspiracy. A 2020 arrest of other co-conspirators led officers to knowledge that a package of narcotics was being delivered to an address in Picayune, MS. The package contained methamphetamine and was recovered by Jeremy Turner, who admitted his involvement in the conspiracy. The total quantity of drugs attributed to Turner during the conspiracy was 124.7 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Turner pleaded guilty on June 21, 2023, to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

United States Attorney Todd W. Gee, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Anessa Daniels-McCaw of the Drug Enforcement Administration, and Acting Special Agent in Charge Eric DeLaune of Homeland Security Investigations made the announcement.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security Investigations.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erica Rose.
