Photo of wading pool shooting suspect released; another victim released from hospital

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office released a photo of the suspect in the June 15 shooting at a Rochester Hills splash pad.

The suspect, Michael Nash, 42, allegedly shot and injured nine people at Brooklands Plaza Splash Pad on June 15 before fleeing to his Shelby Township home and dying of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.

The photo was included in a news release Saturday afternoon about another shooting victim being released from the hospital.

An 8-year-old boy who was shot in the head at a wading pool, whose name has not been released, was released from the hospital Friday, the sheriff's office said.

Seven of the victims have now been released from the hospital, the sheriff's office said. The boy's mother, a 39-year-old Rochester Hills resident, remains hospitalized with gunshot wounds to the abdomen.

The other victim hospitalized is a 30-year-old woman, the sheriff's office said.

A GoFund me page identified the boy and his mother as members of the Bebout family. The mother's 4-year-old son was also shot in the thigh but was released from the hospital on June 18.

Tiffany Holcomb, the organizer of the GoFundMe campaign, is a close relative of the Bebout family.

“I am asking for donations to help support the family. Their father is the sole breadwinner for the family and will be away from work for an indefinite period of time,” Holcomb said in the fundraiser description.

Although seven victims have been released from the hospital, many still have recovery and health issues, the sheriff's office said.
