Hugo Cuypers scored two goals in the final minutes – including one in added time – and Gastón Giménez also scored a late goal to help the Chicago Fire rally and beat the Philadelphia Union 4-3 on Wednesday night.

Maren Haile-Selassie sent a one-touch pass, from an arching cross played by Brian Gutierrez from the right side, into the center of the box where Cuypers volleyed from close range to give Chicago (5-10-6) a 4-3 lead in the second minute of added time.

Haile-Selassie sent the ball into a wide-open net to give Chicago a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute, but Chris Donovan scored with a one-touch ball – his first goal of the season – off a Leon Flach pass to make it 1-1 in the 38th minute. Dániel Gazdag scored in the seventh minute of first-half injury time to give the Union the halftime lead, and Jack McGlynn received a pass from Gazdag and fired a shot from outside the box that slid inside the far post to make it 3-1 in the 49th minute.

Cuypers headed in a 3-2 deficit in the 82nd minute and Giménez made it 3-3 in the 89th.

Philadelphia (4-9-8) has lost five straight games and is winless in eight straight.

The Union and Chicago drew 2-2 in the season opener after Gazdag scored an injury-time goal for Philadelphia.
