Philadelphia man pleads guilty to stabbing death in 2022

NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A former Philadelphia MMA fighter admitted to stabbing a man to death in an Atlantic City hotel room nearly two years ago.

Andrew Osborne, 35, pleaded guilty Thursday to first-degree manslaughter for the Sept. 23, 2022, stabbing death of Brian Wilkinson, 47, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors say that after the incident, Osborne and his wife returned to Philadelphia, where he was eventually arrested.

Osborne fought in three professional MMA fights for three different promotions between January 2012 and October 2013. His professional record was one win and two losses.

Osborne's sentencing is scheduled for August 22. The recommended sentence is 25 years.
