Persons of interest identified in homicide case

Colorado Bureau of Investigation

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) would like to share the following update on the murder of Chrystal Snow, 39, of Pagosa Springs. Snow’s body was discovered Tuesday morning, July 2, after Archuleta County Dispatch received a 911 call from Snow’s home around 2:20 a.m.

Operators were unable to communicate with the caller, so two deputies from the Archuleta County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Snow's home in the 1000 block of County Road 700 west of Pagosa Springs.

After arriving at the home, officers discovered that Snow had died in an apparent homicide. At this point, investigators believe that Snow called 911 shortly before succumbing to her injuries.

An autopsy performed this morning confirmed that Snow died of multiple gunshot wounds.

CBI agents believe this was a targeted shooting and have identified persons of interest, but no arrests have been made as the investigation continues. Investigators do not believe there is an active threat to the public.

The Archuleta County Sheriff's Office has requested assistance from the CBI. The CBI has agreed to be the lead investigative agency. Details will continue to be released as the investigation unfolds.
