Person stabbed in the head in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department says a person was stabbed in the head Friday.

The victim, a 55-year-old man, suffered minor injuries to the back of the head and left arm.

The stabbing happened around 6 p.m. on Broad Street and Portland Street, and the suspect fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

The police are still investigating.
