Person rushed to Woolwich Hospital after triple stabbing

Emergency services were called to Thomas Street in Woolwich on Friday March 31 at around 6.30pm to a stabbing.

Metropolitan Police officers found three men suffering from stab wounds at the scene.

The London Ambulance Service confirmed two people were treated at the scene.

One person was rushed to hospital after being treated at the scene, while another refused further treatment.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We responded to several calls reporting stabbings in Woolwich on Friday May 31.

“The first call was made at 6:32 p.m. regarding an incident on Calderwood Street. We were then called at 6:47 p.m. to an incident on Powis Street.

“We sent ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a paramedic in a rapid response car.

“We treated two patients on site. We took one of them as a priority to a large trauma center and the other refused further treatment.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed their condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

16 people were arrested and the investigation into the incident continues.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 6.25pm ​​on Friday May 31 to a fight in Thomas Street, Woolwich.

“Officers attended the scene and found three men suffering from stab wounds.

“All were taken to hospital; their condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

“Additional officers have been deployed to the area and a total of 16 people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Investigations continue.

“A section 60 is in place until 9:37am on June 1 covering the SE18 postcode area.

“Any witnesses or anyone with footage that could help police should call 101 and quote reference 5815/31may.
