Person hospitalized after stabbing at Krutch Park in Knoxville, Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — One person was taken to the hospital following a stabbing in downtown Knoxville on Saturday.

Officers went to Krutch Park around 11:30 p.m., where a man was found with a stab wound. He was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries, according to a Knoxville Police Department spokesperson.


The victim told investigators he was stabbed by a bald white man who fled the area.

No witnesses were found after officers canvassed the area, police said. An investigation is underway. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers.
