Person hospitalized after shooting in Newhall

One person was taken to hospital after being shot in Newhall Monday evening.

Around 7:40 p.m. Monday, first responders received reports of a shooting on Lyons Avenue, just west of Newhall Avenue in Newhall, Sgt. Gillespie, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

“We responded to a (shooting victim) and the suspects are standing,” Gillespie said.

One person was taken to the hospital in unknown condition, according to authorities.
