Person hospitalized, 18 apartments affected by Bowling fire

The victim's condition is unknown at this time. Wind in the area aggravated the fire and spread it to the attic of the building located just east of Main Street.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — One person was hospitalized and 18 homes were affected by a fire at an apartment building in Bowling Green early Wednesday evening.

The victim's condition is unknown at this time.

The Bowling Green Fire Division Chief told WTOL 11 there was heavy smoke and fire in the middle of the building on Parkview Drive, just east of North Main Street.

Winds in the area aggravated the fire and spread it, reaching the attic of the building, according to BGFD.

Bowling Green police on social media advised the public to avoid the area of ​​North Main Street while crews respond to the fire.

Perrysburg fire crews assisted BGFD at the scene.
