Person arrested after stabbing incident in downtown Clayton –

CLAYTON, Calif. (June 25, 2024) — On June 25, 2024, at approximately 1:01 p.m., Clayton Police officers were dispatched to an altercation at 6026 Main St.

A person had been stabbed. Both parties were still there when police arrived. The victim, who was alert and talking, was treated for multiple stab wounds and transported to John Muir Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time and his name has not been released.

The suspect, Peter Kerns (45) of Concord, was taken into custody and booked for 245 (a)(1) PC – Assault with a Deadly Weapon. There are no other victims or suspects in this case.
