Peoria police search for 2-year-old girl on suspicion of kidnapping

INDEPENDENT MEDIA

A search is underway after authorities said they learned Saturday that the noncustodial parent of 2-year-old Kirby Carr had left with her after her supervised visit with the child, according to the Peoria Police Department.

Police were called to a domestic disturbance around 2:45 p.m. on June 8 near North Lake Pleasant Parkway and West Speckled Gecko Drive.

They learned that Kevin Carr, 52, had visited the girl and then fled the area with her in a blue 2014 Fiat 500 with Arizona license plate M5A6EM, according to a statement from the Peoria Police Department, which is seeking the help from the public to find the child.

The Fiat has a double silver stripe on the top and a Milwaukee tool box attached to the hitch. It is unclear where the blue Fiat went after leaving the scene. The suspect has no parental rights over the child, the release said.

Kevin Carr is approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 140 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt and shorts.

Kirby Carr is approximately 3 feet tall and weighs 30 pounds. She wore a blue dress with a pink bow and a blue bow in her hair, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 623-773-8311 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
