People reportedly electrocuted in hot tub at Mexican resort, run by RCR

This video is making the rounds on social media and purports to capture the moments after at least two individuals were zapped in a jacuzzi at a hotel Tuesday evening near Puerto Peñasco, along the Gulf of California.

The footage shows a large crowd standing around a hot tub on the grounds…and you can see one man being shot by others, while another person is lying on their back.

You can see someone doing chest compressions on the person on the ground… while everyone watches in horror and screams. The guy who was pulled out of the bathtub gets back on his own two feet and walks away…looking confused and troubled.

The exact details of what happened are still unclear – but internet users, who claim to have witnesses, say that the bathtub had an electrical surge running through it… which would have ended up injuring those inside. It is unclear how many people may have been affected.

TMZ obtained video of ambulances arriving at the scene afterward — although we don't know if anyone was taken to the hospital, or what their condition might be at this point.

We spoke to local police officers — specifically the Puerto Peñasco Municipal Public Safety Office — and an official there acknowledged to TMZ that officers did respond to this case…but couldn't provide further details.

We tried contacting other utility agencies in town for more information…but were unable to connect.
