Pennsylvania Border Patrol Agent Kiara Lee Gave Weed and Vapes to Middle School Students

US News

A school crossing guard has been accused of giving drugs to Pennsylvania middle school students and even smoking weed with at least one of them.

Delaware County police arrested 26-year-old Kiara Lee on Tuesday after she allegedly gave children e-cigarettes and marijuana edibles.

Lee, a crossing guard at Penn Wood Middle School in Darby, Pennsylvania, was seen multiple times by a student witness giving drugs and vapes to at least two students.

The student witness reported Lee to school officials after one of the students said he frequently smoked weed with the crossing guard.

She was known to have provided vapes to the minor on multiple occasions, and that the student was in possession of marijuana, according to WCAU.

A student's guardian confirmed to police that Lee had given the child vapes and marijuana edibles, the outlet reported.

“We drive by every day, so a lot of students see her pass the ball and say 'oh, let me vape, let me vape,'” one student told WTXF.

Along with the unethical “gift,” Lee also allegedly had a text message conversation with one of the students, during which they shared their experiences after ingesting edibles.

Law enforcement officials blasted Lee's behavior and actions, saying it was unacceptable for anyone, especially school crossing guards, to give drugs to minors.

“Even though marijuana may not seem like a big problem to some in the community, I think we can all agree that school crossing guards should not be providing narcotics – even if it's just marijuana – to our children,” said the head of the Darby district. Joseph Gabe said, according to WPVI.

“School crossing guards embody the role of civil servant. They are – literally – entrusted with the lives of our children and hold a sacred position of trust in communities across the Commonwealth and the country,” said Delaware County District Attorney Stollsteimer.

“For an individual to abuse this trust is deeply troubling and corrosive to the well-being of the entire community,” Stollsteimer added.

Parents in the community were outraged to learn of Lee's actions.

“It's bad enough as a parent to keep them away from influences, but to hear that a district employee would even sell to children. It’s crazy,” Maya Bryant told Fox 29.

“It’s a shame to have these people in these corners doing their job, protecting the kids and now you’re telling me the kids are getting drugs from them? It’s absolutely disgusting,” added Malekka Dade.

Lee was charged with two felony counts of drug possession with intent to deliver, two misdemeanor counts of corrupting a minor and two misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession, records show judicial consultations by the show The Post.
