Pearl River County Sheriff's Department Makes Multiple Drug Arrests

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, Pearl River County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Investigators responded to 533 Hilt Fornea Road in Poplarville, Mississippi to serve an arrest warrant on Charles Atkinson-Seal, 34, for failure to appear in circuit court.

Upon arrival, investigators made contact with Atkinson-Seal and arrested him. They also met with Joshua Pierce-Seal, 36, Michael Landreaux, 40, and Ashley Sumrall, 35. During the interviews, investigators developed probable cause for a search warrant at the scene. The subsequent search revealed quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana, and psilocybin mushrooms, as well as various drug paraphernalia.

The subjects were arrested and charged as follows:

  • Charles Atkinson-Seal: Possession with intent of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and his arrest warrant.
  • Joshua Pierce-Seal: Possession of marijuana with intent, possession of psilocybin mushrooms with intent and possession of paraphernalia.
  • Ashley Sumrall: Possession with intent of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Investigations began investigating Dennis Henley, 44, of Steephollow, Mississippi, and Tommy Dean Shaw, 48, of Perkinston, Mississippi, for distributing methamphetamine in Pearl River County.

Henley met with undercover agents and agents from the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics during the investigation. Henley was found in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine intended for distribution and was taken into custody without incident. The investigation led to Shaw’s residence in Stone County, where Pearl River County narcotics investigators assisted the Stone County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics in obtaining a search warrant. Shaw was arrested for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in Pearl River County.

Sheriff David Allison expressed his gratitude to the Stone County Sheriff's Office and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics for their partnership, highlighting the benefits of the agencies working together to combat the drug epidemic in Pearl River County.
